Toffee Recipe

Ingredients:
1 stick of butter
1 cup of brown sugar
1 tsp salt
Instructions:
line a baking sheet with parchment paper
in a saucepan over medium heat, start melting the butter
after the butter has melted, add the sugar and the salt
whisk vigorously for 1 minute or until combined
if you have a candy thermometer then keep this on the heat until it reaches 295-305 degrees, if you do not have a candy thermometer then keep it on the heat for about 10 minutes. While it is on the heat keep stirring
after it has reached the desired temperature then pour it out on the prepped baking sheet and spread it thinly with a spatula
let it cool for 20-30 minutes
then break the toffee into pieces (you determine the size)
enjoy!
I mostly use this toffee recipe as a cookie or brownie add-in; however, it is also good to eat alone.
